Tell us about your sports & fitness background:
Before CrossFit, I’d never been part of any sort of fitness program.
How were you first exposed to CrossFit?
Lloyd Nichols got me interested. My daughter, Michele, went with me to the first class. I think everyone was surprised when she left for college and I kept going to CrossFit!
Take us back to your first WOD... what was it, and how did it feel?
I don’t remember my first WOD, but I know it kicked my butt. It took me a few months before I felt like I could complete a WOD without being totally exhausted.
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting CF (before/after)?
I have a lot more energy now and I can keep up with the kids better.
What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like CrossFit that were totally unexpected?
I had never really heard of CrossFit, so I was surprised to see how popular it was and how committed everyone is to the program.
Please share with us any favorite CrossFit / CFT moments.
I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. I felt like I fit in and was welcomed right away.
Any advice for people just getting started?
Just do it! The benefits far outweigh the pain.
What are your hobbies, interests and/or talents outside of CrossFit?
