BRITTANY - CrossFit Coach
I was involved in cheerleading at my high school and on an all-star team. I served in leadership roles on both, and continued my passion for the sport at the University of Texas-San Antonio where I was a member of the co-ed cheer team and during my sophomore year I was a captain. There, I also began coaching cheerleading in San Antonio as an assistant coach to a middle school team of 25 girls.
When my husband joined the Army, I transferred to Liberty University and finished a Bachelor’s degree in Education. While my husband was stationed in North Carolina, I began teaching 8th grade Literature and Grammar and coaching the school's junior high and high school cheerleading teams. When my husband and I decided to start a family, I felt the desire to stay home and be with my babies and he supported me in that decision. I CrossFit because every workout is different and I am always being challenged both mentally and physically. I coach CrossFit because I get so much joy out of encouraging others to accomplish something they didn’t believe they could do. I also love being able to help teach people how to do different movements/skills and then see them succeed. You'll catch me smiling when I finish a chipper WOD like the 12 days of Christmas. I am challenged by squat snatches. It is my favorite barbell movement, but I struggle with it. When I eat what I want, it's Mexican food! I can eat my weight in chips and hot sauce, flour tortillas, and rice. |
