"We approach our relationship and problem-solving much the same as we would a WOD."
Which got me to thinking about ALL of the wonderful couples we have here at the box! Here's what a few of them had to say about how CrossFit fits into their relationships, too.
Hannah & Jan:
Jan: She gives me that extra push and motivation when I need it. CrossFit gives us something to do together and it’s nice to have her workout with me because I usually workout by myself.
Hannah: I’m a perfectionist so I get annoyed when he points out flaws if I’m not asking him to! He realizes it though when I glare at him and will leave me alone until I’m done with the workout. and I ask him to fix my technique.
"Our relationship, much like our WODs, is constantly varied, high-intensity, and functional!"
Becky & Shawn:
From the moment Shawn joined me at CrossFit, our relationship has grown stronger at almost the same rate as we have grown physically stronger. We are able to get excited about our day-to-day accomplishments together. Who got what time, who achieved what goal, who embarrassed themselves.
"After 23 years of marriage, CrossFit has still managed to make us an even better TEAM!"
FOUR Engagements at CrossFit Tyler in just 2 years!
I marvel every day at what CrossFit does for all of us as individuals. But it's clear, too, that we bring those improvements to our relationships, as well.
Happy Valentine's Day, y'all!
