MARK WHITELAND
I was born and raised in the Tyler area. I played highschool football and ran track at Chapel Hill. I graduated with honors and continued my education at Tyler Junior College. I received my Associates Degree in Business Administration and will complete in Health and Kinesiology in the Spring. I have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years and have served as a general manager of a local gym. I have also worked the construction field as a welder and general renovator. I have been married to my beautiful wife Amanda for 9 years and have two beautiful daughters and a 7 month old son. I also teach a boys sunday school class at First Baptist Church South Campus. I CrossFit because it gives results. I like the community it builds and the competitive nature it brings out in me. I coach because I love to help people push beyond what they think they can do, and seeing how it changes their lives. You'll catch me smiling when it's time to do Power Cleans or Deadlifts. I am challenged by Handstand Push-ups. When I eat what I want, it's Buffalo Chicken Pizza from Double Daves and for dessert homemade icecream with double stuffed Oreos on top. |
